OUT OF SCHOOL: PRACTICE STOP-MOTION ANIMATION 

A fellow teamate and I were very bored one day and decided to use our time productively by creating some stop motio. This is only our second or third time using stop motion by we want to hone our skills and get better at it, so we picked up things that were laying around the media suite at school, and came up with our idea and see if it would work. It is based on a pac-man idea, where the tic-tacs are captured by their boxes and taken back to the start. It took us about an hour to film and then arounf half an hour to edit. Here, is the result.

EDITING Our editing style, we know already, we plan to be slow and not heavily edited in port-production with long takes that can really take in the story, to fit the more sombre tone of the song, rather than be heavily edited with lots of cuts that can come out as jumpy and fast. We also want to focus on the sisters, so the cameras will often be rolling for a longer time on the sisters and their movement and not just just on and off for certain shots that are pieced together later to make the story. Q.3 WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM YOUR AUDIENCE FEEDBACK? Firstly, here is my plan for answering Evaluation Question 3:  THE QUESTIONNAIRE: Some answers from three different people taken verbally after they have watched the music video and looked at the ancillary tasks, (the poster and the Digi-Pak): Then, I asked one woman aged 51+ and two boys aged 17 to answer it. Here were their responses:  - woman (purple pen) - boys (black pen) - A video we created taking some more answers: What have I learnt from my audience feedback? To gain feedback I wanted to specifically talk to people who were part of my target audience, which was younger people, but I also spoke to few people from an older generation to make sure it was inclusive. I did this by showing people my music video on youtube and then printing out my digi-pak and poster and presented them in the interview. Post 6: Key Music Videos Timeline

POST 6: PRACTICE TASK - KEY MUSIC VIDEOS TIMELINE    This research is to discover the key turning points in music videos in the last century leading up until now. Before we started, the only inclination we had was that Michael Jackson's Thriller music video was important and was a major turning point with creating a storyline with the music video so it was interesting for all of us to see where it originally came from and who influenced the creation of music videos all of the world.
