WHAT'S IN THE NEWS?
To practice and get in the swing of creating storyboards with new ideas about music videos, or short films, I decided to pick a random news story from this week and from that, pull together a music video or short film that is inspired by the news story. As we are thinking about creating music videos for our coursework, I hoped to storyboard a music video to practice how the video is put together with the music chosen. Our chosen News Story:
This news story is about an orchestra conducted by Darth Vader. Initially, Vader seemed content listening to the classic compostiton. However, several bars into the piece, he removed the conductor and took charge of the orchestra. Lord Vader went on to lead the orchestra through the entire piece with his lightsaber.

Our Music Video Storyboard:
Our Music video revolves around Darth Vader getting ready, performing (where the music will be played) and then leaving the building. I decided that it would be great bringing a sense or normality to the character, like checking his phone or revealing his name is actually Alan at the end. The music in the music video is the famous piece at the start of every Star Wars film, John William's Imperial March. I thought it would be fitting for the charcter and the video to have this as the music in which I would make a music video for.
1. Darth Vader in the dressing room, looking in the mirror, possibly texting or going through twitter on his phone.
2. Walking out behind the stage, winding down the corridors maybe stretching his arms and whistling.
3. Walking out onto the stage, with complete silence into the room, and the audience looking a little confused.
4. Music begins, and Darth Vader starts conducting the orchestra.
5. The song ends and the audience stands up cheering and clapping whilst Darth Vader takes a bow and gestures towards the orchestra, clapping towards them.
6. The sound of the audience fades away as Vader goes off stage and into the corridors behind the stage where it's silent, except for a few people (the organisers) running around, paying no attention to him.
7. Darth Vader walks into his dressing room, check his phone and puts his things into his backpack and when finished gets up and leaves the room.
8. Someone, (an assisstant?) walks by and says "See you Tomorrow, Alan"
9. He walks out the back door into a car park and the door shuts on the camera.
10. The End.
